Call for Special Sessions
The 2017 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (IEEE SMC 2017) will be held in Banff, Canada, on Oct. 5–8, 2017.
SMC 2017 program will host a number of Special Sessions. They are important feature of the conference that bring timely topics to the research community and enhance its quality. The goal of the Special Sessions is to explore current and emerging research topics, provide a forum for authors to present research results, and enable members of the community to compare and discuss approaches, methods, and new concepts on research topics pertinent to the conference. These topics often offer emerging interests to the Systems, Man, and Cybernetics research community or bridge the community with other areas. We aim to have Special Sessions that consists of contributed papers of a high quality.
Each Special Sessions proposal should include:
- Name, affiliation, and contact information (email addresses and phone numbers) of the proposers/organizers;
- Technical Area: Cybernetics, Human-Machine Systems, or Systems Science and Engineering;
- Proposed title of Special Session, estimated number of submissions, keywords (from the list of keywords in the Call for Papers);
- Proposed list of paper submissions for the special session including paper title, authors’ names, affiliations, and email addresses.

Proposal submission deadline: 15 February 2017
Proposal acceptance notification: 15 March 2017
Paper submission deadline: 7 April 2017
Paper acceptance notification: 25 May 2017
Paper camera ready due: 9 July 2017
